Governing board member — Dr. Kathleen Van Malderen is a gastroenterologist in training at the Antwerp University Hospital. In 2023 she defended her PhD thesis on cellular en volatile biomarkers in irritable bowel syndrome. She has a special interest in science communication and founded the website IBS Belgium targeted at patients and the broad public.
